I have had some luck with parlays lately, pick three and get a 6-1 payoff? NICE!
Last weekend I hit the night games with Oregon, Notre Dame and Alabama (really nothing more than betting against ASU, Washington and Tennessee) but this week I want you group together our top 3 favorites.
Tulsa -7 at Arkansas
Yes, that is little bitty Tulsa venturing into an SEC stadium as the favorite. Believe it. You have the nation’s elite offense facing up against the nation’s 106th rated Razorback defense. It really doesn’t matter that Casey Dick and the Hogs crushed some small schools in the beginning of the year, the Golden hurricane is something completely different.
The other two legs of the parlay after the jump. (more…)
NFL WEEK 7 October 19, 2008

It is going to tough to top last weeks madness……. but there are still a few soli games to keep an eye on.
TITANS -9 CHIEFS O/U 35
What we got here is two offenses that aren’t the highest in production. From the Titans stand point, they don’t need a high flying offense to win games. Reason being, they got the best defense in the NFL (top 3 at least). The Chiefs, who did put a beatin on the Donkeys when they came through K.C., are going to be down their starting running back in Larry Johnson. I can’t really say with much confidence that the Titans will cover a 9 point spread, however, I can see this game being really low scoring (think of TEN vs Bal). I love the under !! (under 35)
RAVENS +3 DOLPHINS 0/U 35
So the Dolphin offense looks good and up till last week , the Raven Defense looked good. Another game that I see being low scoring. The Raven offense is weak but the D is solid. The Dolphins have the Wildcat Offense, which I bet Ray Lewis is going to put the hurt on today. The Fish by 3 , I could see that. Although a 13-10 game is something I see as more of a possibility. Another game that the UNDER looks really attractive.. (under 35)
COLTS -2.5 PACKERS 0/U 47
The loint line started out at Colts +1. Now it’s +2.5. The Colts look like they are back to form afterr last weeks thumping of the Ravens in Indy. (which was the first home win of the season for the colts). If Farve was still at QB, the line might be different. The Packers, now lead by Aaron Rodgers, are the under dogs at home. The Packers have always been tough at home, but the Colts seem like they are getting it together. Not sure about the Over/Under, but look for the Colts to cover on this one. (Colts -2.5)
SAINTS -3 PANTHERS O/U 44.5
The panthers play tough at home. (and by the performance last week, they suck on the road). The Saints have a high powered, high scoring, big play making offense. That isn’t going to change. The Panthers got blown out at the Bucs last week. Playing in front of the home crowd, look for this to be a high scoring game. I do like the Panthers at home, but feel more confident with the over in this one. I would say Panthers and Over if I had to, but I really like the over on this one as well. (over 44.5)

Here we are, Week 6 already. Where does time go ?!? so what’s on tap for this week………
BEARS -3 FALCONS O/U 43.5
So DA BEARS looking good…. and it’s a rebuilding year. And the Falcons holding tough at 3-2. The Falcons are 2-0 at home (however they beat Detroit and K.C. in the Georgia Dome. Which doesn’t mean much). The Bears defense is going to put pressure on rookie QB Matt Ryan. How is he going to hold up ? Not to mention, with a defense anchored by Urlacher, they are going to be tough to run against. Turner, the NFL’s leading rusher, is going to have his work cut out for him against this hard hitting defense. The Falcons do look good, but not sure how the Rookie QB is going to handle the pressure of DA Bears Defense.
PICK – I would take the Bears giving 3. If I had to pick the Under / Over……. I would say Under.
JETS -8 BENGALS O/U 42.5
We all know the Bengals are a HUGE let down. The Jets are a hit or miss team at 2-2. At home with Farve playing well, you gotta love the Jets and the over. The Bengals did play the Giants tough, losing in O.T. , last time they played in the Meadowlands. And the dismal offense has shown signs of life. The line opened at the Jets laying 6. Since , it has jumped to the Jets laying 8. Still, I like the Jets. Farve will throw for another 300 or 400 yards with a handful of TD’s. The Bengals will get in the endzone, but the defense won’t hold up to the Jets offense.
PICK- JETS -8 and the OVER (42.5)
COWBOYS -5 CARDINALS O/U 50.5
The Cardinals are coming off an impressive victory last week. And , as weird as it seems, Warner is having an almost MVP season. Warner is averaging almost 300 ypg (1472 passing yards total), with 10 TD’s, 4 picks and a QB rating over 100. However , the defense isn’t all that. As for the Cowboys, well they can handle a shoot out. Everybody knows the Cowboys have a powerful offense. It would seem the Cowboys will score at will and the Cardinals will have to keep up. O/U of 50.5 , as high as it seems, shouldn’t be a problem. I would balk at 60 but am all in at 50 !!
PICK – Cowboys -5 and the over
SAINTS -7 RAIDERS O/U 47.5
Well we know the Saints don’t have a defense, but a high octane Offense. The Raiders….. well they just suck.(And I am a Raiders fan ! ) The firing of Kiffin was unjust. How does Al Davis expect a guy to turn a team around when he doesn’t have a chance to establish himself as a coach. Teh Raiders problems run much deeper than Kiffin. The lose to the Bills was more about the Prevent defense. Had a 3 and out, punted and let the Bills get into feild goal range….. and unlike the Super Bowl against the Giants in 86, the Bills split the uprights and won. The lose to the Charges was a disaster waiting to happen. Up 15 and getting points, they still couldn’t cover. Although I did miss my parlay by a half point after LT’s late scamper into the end zone. But lets not dwell in the past. The Saints are coming off a tough lose at home against the Vikings on Monday Night. They want redemption !! I see the Saints offense putting a hurt on the Raiders. The Raiders offense hasn’t done much thus far and don’t expect to see them do much in the Dome. What they need to do is Let Jamarcus loose and get Al Davis out of control. Look at that guy, he looks like the Emperor for Star Wars !!!
PICK – SAINTS -7
